BCST & HEALTH

We talk a lot about health. But what really is health? In BCST health is an expression of life through all living beings. It is what makes us feel alive and continuously in motion. It is the ability to shift, change and adapt to experiences of life. It is ever-present finding it’s best possible balance even in difficult conditions.

So health can truly never be lost, it can only be compromised. Here’s how compromised health can feel in the body (infographic). When you recognise compromised health in a way of feelings, sensations and symptoms and are able to address it early, it doesn’t become a hardened physical life-long condition.

In treatment sessions, a BCST practitioner is trained to listen to support the health present in a client's system. Also, most often, our sense of our body is largely unconscious or fragmented. In BCST practice there is an expanded embodied awareness, lifting the body-mind continuum out of its old patterns and facilitating a reorganization towards a conscious relationship with the natural balance, health and wholeness. The therapist facilitates the process of body awareness, orients to health within the client’s body that supports the innate forces to come through to bring deeper states of relaxation, reorganization and balance.

BCST & SAFETY

Feeling safe—both within and around us—is essential for overall well-being. When the body perceives danger, it activates survival responses. While necessary in real threats, prolonged stress or trauma can disrupt sleep, digestion, emotional balance, and healing.

Our nervous system constantly scans for safety or danger. A well-regulated system builds resilience, while chronic stress weakens safety circuits, keeping us stuck in patterns of tension and hypervigilance. Our senses play a key role, sending signals that shape how we feel.

Biodynamic touch helps restore this sense of safety, releasing old patterns and allowing the body to shift into deep relaxation and healing. When we nurture safety, we support resilience, emotional balance, and overall vitality.

BCST & TOUCH

Touch is our earliest and most powerful sense, forming our first connections to the world. From the moment we develop in the womb, touch provides comfort, security, and communication. Even looking, speaking, and responding are forms of touch—just from a distance.

A warm, safe touch calms stress, activates the vagus nerve, releases oxytocin, and relaxes the body. Research shows that touch plays a vital role in regulating our nervous system, promoting health and emotional well-being.

Biodynamic touch is unique—non-imposing, open, and without expectation. Unlike the touch we often receive, which carries others' needs, this touch offers deep safety, allowing the brain and body to reset. It takes us back to a primal state of growth, helping to rewire old patterns and restore balance at a cellular level. When the body feels truly safe, healing unfolds naturally.
